Abstract

Vulnus Laceratum is a continuous disturbance of a network resulting in normal tissue separation. In vulnus laceratum patients may experience high anxiety by behaving less well when giving the action. Then the need for coping mechanisms to overcome anxiety. Adaptive coping leads the patient to constructive behavior, while maladaptive coping leads the vulnus laceratum patient to deviant behavior. This study aims to analyze the relationship of individual coping mechanisms with anxiety levels in patients with vulnus laceratum. his type of correlational analytic research using cross sectional approach to 33 samples determined by accidental sampling. Data analysis using Chi Square test with significant level α ≤ 0,05.Result showed most respondents use adaptive coping mechanism that is 60,6% and most of anxiety level is medium anxiety that is 69,7%. There was correlation between individual coping mechanism with anxiety level in vulnus laceratum patient (p < 0,05. Conclusion The anxiety level of the vulnus laceratum patient has been shown to have a relationship. It is suggested to the nurse to be able to pay attention to the clinical manifestations of anxiety and vulnus laceratum patients using maladaptive coping mechanisms, to be able to overcome anxiety by asking the nearest person, positively assessing and advocating using adaptive koping.
