Abstract
This lack of nutrients has bad consequences for schoolchildren, which can decrease interest in learning, concentration and intelligence, the next turn is the mastery of science, skills and technology is very superficial and minimal so lag, poverty and ignorance is still undermining our nation. In addition, less nutrition can weaken the immune system, stunted growth and weak competition power. This research was conducted on students at SD GMIM Tumani Kecamatan Maesaan. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of eating habits between the children of good nutritional status and the children of nutritional status is less in the SD GMIM Tumani Maesaan District, while specifically aimed to assess the difference of food intake, food frequency and menu arrangement between children with good nutritional status and children with less nutritional status. This research is an ex post facto research, cross sectional, with sample number 57 children. Methods to determine eating patterns by interview and documentation, anthropometric measurements were used to determine nutritional status. Eight of the 57 samples have less nutritional status. Because there is one cell (category) that is worth zero, ie the category of nutritional status is less then used Exact Fisher test. With p value of 0,040 <0,05 with significance level 5% and d.b. = 1, it can be concluded there is a significant difference between the pattern of good eating habits and not good with good and poor nutrition status.
