Abstract
Pakoba plant (TricalyciaMinahassae) of the genus Syzgium came from North Celebes region especially Minahasa. The report mentions group potential of such groups Syzgiumhipogliceamik activity, also compounds that have pharmacological activity as antidiabetic and antihyperlipidemic. This research type design is experimental research with pre and post test only controlled group design. The sample in this research is the population total of 25 male rats. Data of the collecting were analyzed descriptively and analyzed with one way ANOVA , and then followed with Duncan method. Results of the One Way ANOVA analysis followed by Duncan’s method to determine the increasing and decreasing mean of blood glucose levels before and after the test animals streptozotocin induced in treatment between groups to 1, groups 2, group 3, group 4th and group to-5, showed a significant difference with using F count of 28,290 is greater than the F table 2,87 (F count > F table) with significant level α 0,05 have p value 0,000<p.0,05, which means that there are difference significant. For Duncan test, that is there were significant difference between treatment groups to 5, 2, 3, and 4, that is groups 1 as signifiv=cant differ with and groups to 5, 2, 3, and 4. This thing showed that for treatment groups to- 1 (negative control) which given of the CMC 0,5% suspency differ with treatment groups to-2 (positive control) which glibenclamid given of 0,65 mg/kg BB, treatment groups to- 3 which extract given the Pakoba Stem Leather of 300 mg/kg BB, treatmen groups to-4 which extract given the Pakoba Stem Leather of 600 mg/kgBB, treatment groups to-5 which extract given the Pakoba Stem Leather of 1200 mg/kgBB. Glibenclamid and Pakoba Stem Leather extract has effect toward reducing of blood sugar levels, whereas the CMC does not given effect to decrease blood sugar levels.
